Terms of Use
Film Faster 48 · Festee Platform · Version 1.0 · Effective August 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Festee (the "Platform"), operated by Providence Film Group for Film Faster 48 ("FF48," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Festee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it current. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Film Submissions
If you submit a film to FF48: you represent that you own or control all necessary rights to the submitted work, including music, likeness, and any third-party content contained in it; you grant Film Faster 48 a non-exclusive, worldwide license to screen, promote, and display your submission in connection with the festival, including trailers, social media, and press materials; you retain ownership of your work, and this license does not transfer copyright; submission does not guarantee selection, screening, or any award.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to: upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; impersonate any person or entity; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts; interfere with the Platform's operation; or use the Platform to harass, defame, or harm others.
6. Sponsors and Partners
Sponsor and partner accounts are subject to separate written agreements governing sponsorship terms, deliverables, and payment, in addition to these Terms.
7. Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive service-related communications (account, submission status, event logistics) necessary to operate your account. Marketing and promotional communications require separate, optional consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
8. Intellectual Property
The Festee Platform, including its software, design, and the "Spielberg" AI assistant, is the property of its owners and licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Platform.
9. Third-Party Services
The Platform relies on third-party service providers (including but not limited to Brevo for email, Twilio for SMS, Supabase for data storage, and OpenAI for AI features) to operate. Your information may be processed by these providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Festival dates, venues, prizes, and programming are subject to change.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Providence Film Group and Film Faster 48 shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated, and continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
